All other product ranges complete the WINSTA® MIDI series.Plug and play solutions are becoming increasingly important for professional electrical installations, as installation time is often reduced to an absolute minimum. Making a decision for a new building usually requires much time spent in cumbersome planning and approval procedures. All trades must be perfectly harmonized and planned so as not to jeopardize the scheduled completion of the project. For example, when 700 lights need to be installed in an airport, deadlines are so tight that there is frequently not enough time to connect each light in a conventional hard wired way. What is required here is a quick and reliable plug and play solution.

WINSTA® MIDI meets these requirements. Using a wide range of products, each light can be pre-wired with a connector before reaching the site, allowing an equally loaded network of lights to be installed using cable assemblies and distribution connectors. Every application is made pluggable, quick and reliable using (tried and) tested electrical equipment.

Preparation

We recommend to pull the pre-latched strain relief housing over the conductor prior to conductor connection. However, the strain relief can be mounted at a later time as well.

1. Strip length, outer insulation = 55 mm
2. Strip length = 9 mm
3. PE conductor protruding = 7 mm

Conductor connection with CAGE CLAMP® S

Open terminal point with screwdriver (blade width 2.5mm) and insert stripped conductor to stop.

Push solid stripped conductor to stop.

Manipulate clamp spring with screwdriver (blade width 2.5) for connection of solid conductors and insert the stripped conductor to stop.

For the removal of the conductor, manipulate clamp spring with screwdriver (blade width2.5mm) and pull off the conductor.

Strain relief mounting

Latch the strain relief housing on the plug/socket. Note "TOP".

For operation, latch together strain relief housings.

Variable coding

Simply break off or cut coding pin at the socket.

Insert coding pin into plug with the break-off point in front, until it latches.

Marking

Marking the strain relief housing with the WSB quick marking system.
